Background: Layne, who holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Houston, has made a career in illustration. He has served as a graphic designer, a gallery artist, and a children's book illustrator. His work has been honored by SCWBI, Pick of the Lists, and Oppenheim awards. Who am I? "I am an artist, writer, and lover of picture books. I love airplanes, toys, wildlife, and children. I like the ocean, but don't like the beach."What's the best advice someone has given you?
