Viki Woodworth

Background: Viki has spent twelve years as a freelance illustrator. She holds a bachelor of science degree in art from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and studied art and illustration at the School of Visual Concepts in Seattle, Washington. Viki participated in the Writing for Children Certificate Program at the University of Washington in 2002. She has written and illustrated books for the education, religious, mass-market, and trade venues. Viki wrote and illustrated Daisy the Firecow, published by Boyds Mills Press and named a Junior Library Guild Selection. Who am I? "I'm the mother of two teenage daughters-they are delightful! I'm an illustrator, a writer. I love to laugh! Humor is, to me, the thing that gives me strength."My favorite character from children's literature is: "Eloise. She's spunky and funny and irreverent and gets to live in the Plaza. And she has a pug (as I do)."
