Ann Tompert

Forrmerly a teacher for twenty years, Ann is a successful free-lance writer who has published more than twenty children's books. Her stories and articles have appeared in Highlights and Jack and Jill, and she writes columns for Children's Reading Round Table and Once Upon a Time. Several of her books have been translated into Spanish, Japanese, and French, and LittleFox Goes to the End of the World won an ALA Notable Book Award. Ann holds a bachelor's degree from Siena Heights College (MI) and did graduate work at Wayne State University. Besides writing she enjoys making quilts, gardening, and reading.Who am I? "I've written hundreds of stories, and I'll keep on writing no matter what happens. I consider a day without writing something a wasted day."Ann lives in Port Huron, Michigan.
