Background: Sharon, who was an art director for many years, illustrates, designs, and writes children's books. She wrote and illustrated Zoe's Hats, which was published in 2003, and has illustrated more than 30 children's craft books, picture books, bath books, and lift-the-flap books. In 1995, Every Day is Earth Day, a book she illustrated, received an American Bookseller "Pick of Lists" award. Sharon studied visual communications at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. Who am I? "I am an artist, mother, wife, daughter, sister, and caregiver to all animals. I live in my own sense of reality, which I try to convey with my art-silly, bright, funny, always trying to make you smile. I'd like to add 'writer' to that list and to capture that enthusiasm that my art reflects with words and then blend the words with art and still make you smile. "My favorite character from children's literature is: "I don't know if you would call Stella by Marie-Louise Gay 'children's literature,' but I love her and can relate."
