Laurie Caple
Laurie is a registered nurse who worked in hospitals in Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Besides receiving her nursing degree, she has taken numerous art courses. Recently she had an illustration published in Cricket, in addition to a series of three covers for Northword Press. The mother of two young sons, Laurie also enjoys bird watching, gardening, and photography.Who am I? "Not until I became a parent did I rediscover children's books and the incredible creativity that exists within their pages. I am totally mesmerized by the union of art and text in children's books today. Having been a nurse for many years, I often felt hopeless when working with abused children. The realization that I could contribute something through my art to these and my own children has given me a passion for developing my talent."
