Peggy King Anderson

Raised as a "desert rat" in Arizona, Peggy Anderson opted for the greener, wetter patures of California in 1965, and she now lives in Kirkland, Washington.Peggy has been a writer of children's and inspirational material since 1981. In that relatively short time, she has sold stories and articles to Highlights for Children, Teen, Wee Wisdom, Catholic Digest, and others. Her first book, Coming Home, was published by Glen Abbey Books in 1987 and deals with the terrible difficulties a child faces in trying to cope with her alcoholic father.Peggy is currently under contract with Pockets Magazine (the punster in us is tempted to report that she "picks Pockets") to write a feature story in each issue. Her juvenile novel, The Least Loved, placed first in the 1983 Pacific Northwest Writer's Contest, and her short story titled "That New Baby" was a 1984 Highlights fiction contest winner.Peggy teaches creative writing to adults and has been a faculty member at a number of writer's conferences.
