Anita Sanchez spent her early childhood on Cape Ann (the site of The Invasion of Sandy Bay), and even though her family moved away when she was four years old, she often returned to climb the rocks along the magnificent coastline, swim and snorkel in the icy water, and explore the historic towns and byways of the Cape.
