Van Wassenhove, Sue

Sue Van Wassenhove, a former middle-school art and foreign-language teacher, has lived in Austria, Switzerland, and Russia. She is an avid bird watcher, and while she resided in Miami, Florida, Ms. Van Wassenhove was inspired by her frequent visits to the Everglades to quilt these illustrations and write the poems in this, her first book of poetry for young readers. She lives in Peoria, Illinois.
